PAVLODAR CELEBRATES ITS PATRONAL FEAST

On July 12, the city of Pavlodar celebrated the Feast of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul together with the parish's patronal feast.

On July 11, the eve of the feast, a Great Vespers with Litia was celebrated. On the feast day itself, the festive Divine Liturgy was presided over by the Apostolic Administrator for the Byzantine Rite faithful in Kazakhstan and Central Asia, Mitred Archpriest Vasyl Hovera.

Concelebrating with him were Fr. Yaroslav Holovchuk, pastor of the parish, and Fr. Oleksandr Adaminas, pastor of the Church of the Nativity of the Most Holy Theotokos in Shcherbakty.

The Divine Liturgy was attended by numerous parishioners and guests of the parish.

Following the Divine Liturgy, the Rite of the Lesser Blessing of Water was celebrated.

Among the honored guests was Nurlan Zhumabekovich Baibakirov, Head of the Department for Religious Affairs of the Pavlodar Region.

After the liturgical celebrations, a festive meal was held on the church grounds. A traditional Uzbek pilaf was prepared for all those in attendance, providing a warm conclusion to the feast and a wonderful opportunity for fellowship among the faithful.
