THANKSGIVING MASS IN BISHKEK

On 18 October 2026, Bishop Anthony Corcoran SJ celebrated a Mass of Thanksgiving at the Church of St Michael the Archangel in Bishkek, following his episcopal ordination in Rome on 29 September.
Among those present was Mitred Archpriest Vasili Hovera, Apostolic Administrator for Byzantine Rite Catholics in Central Asia. The celebration brought together bishops and priests from neighbouring countries, faithful from every Catholic parish in Kyrgyzstan, and numerous guests.
Their shared prayer bore witness to the unity of the region’s Catholic communities. Clergy and faithful gave thanks to God for the gift of a new bishop and prayed for his pastoral ministry.
